Sure thing — replacing the thermostat on a 2013–2016 Kia Sorento isn’t too bad, just depends on which engine you’ve got (the 2.4L or the 3.3L V6).
For the 2.4L, the thermostat housing is mounted right at the front of the engine, near the water pump. You’ll want to drain the coolant first, then remove the air intake duct and maybe a few hoses to get access. Once you see the housing, it’s just a couple bolts to remove it and swap the thermostat. Make sure the new one goes in the same orientation—spring side toward the engine—and always use a fresh gasket or O-ring. Torque everything to spec, refill with coolant, and bleed the system to avoid air pockets.
The V6 version is similar, but things are a bit tighter — more stuff to move out of the way. In any case, you can always find the manufacturer's standard procedure for this job in the OEM manual. The manual gives you the full step-by-step with diagrams, torque specs, and the gasket details provided by Kia.
Good luck!
